Welcome to Katz Veterinary Services, LLC and the Katz & Dawgs Pet Resort! We are primarily a small animal veterinary practice that was founded in 2002 by Dr. Alec Katz. In 2019, with the support of our community, Dr. Katz built a brand new veterinary clinic and luxury boarding facility. As both the owner and veterinarian, Dr. Katz’s goal is to offer high quality, compassionate care at an affordable price to the community in which he works and lives. We offer both small animal medicine and surgery, including full in-house bloodwork and digital radiography.

Dr. Alec Katz graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. He grew up on a small farm in Macon, Georgia, where he developed his love of animals from a young age. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Becky, and their children, William, Madeline, and Joseph, at their various activities, and, of course, he loves following UGA football.

Alissa loves seeing new faces and greeting everyone who enters the clinic! She runs the front office for us, and also helps keep Doc running smoothly. On her days off, she enjoys spending time outside with her son Bentley, and her Australian Shepherd, Rip.

Jordan Yarbrough is our talented groomer, and her favorite part of the job is all the puppy snuggles! She enjoys spending her spare time with her twin girls, and she is also enrolled in nursing school.

Mckenzie Crosby finished his Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science at West Texas A&M and hopes to start on his master’s in the fall. He helps us throughout the clinic and spa and manages our ordering.

Michelle Rountree is our vet tech, and has been working with animals for twenty years. She loves helping the most fearful patients to be relaxed and happy during their visit! During her time off, she enjoys hanging out with her grandkids.
